New G.I. Joe Movie Poster!

Did you know Marlon Waynes is in G.I. Joe? I keep pinching myself to remind me that its real. I hope he crosses over nicely. Anyway, there is a poster for G.I. Joe and I am happy that I am not the only person who thinks it has cheesy tag lings (thanks Filmonic).

Sherlock Holmes Trailer Gets The Diddy Treatment

So a few days ago I posted the trailer for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Someone remixed the trailer using N.E.R.D.'s "Rockstar"
and it makes the movie look completely different and way more awesome (if that was possible). Check it out below:

Sucks To Live In Orlando Today
Remember when you were a kid and you used to pretend that you were holding the rock with seconds left in the NBA Playoffs and you would try to hit that buzzer beating shot to win it all? Yeah well Lebron did it. The guy is so amazing he doesn't give us time to process the last thing he did before he does something even more ridiculous.
I have no words for this just watch...sucks to live in Orlando today.

CBS' 2009-2010 Primtetime Schedule

Except for Monday nights, I always associate CBS with old people. When I see a NCIS commercial I actually envision old men in a nursing home violently shaking their canes at Mark Harmon. Anyway most notably is the change on Mondays. How I Met Your Mother moves from 8:30 to 8:00 and The Big Bang Theory moves from 8:00 to 9:30. It means I get to see TBBT but not HIMYM because as everyone knows I must stick with Heroes like a captain going down with a sinking ship...anyway here's the schedule.

8:30 - Accidentally On Purpose
9:00 - Two and a Half Men

Sam Raimi Knows Spidey 4 Needs To Be Better

Being that Spiderman is and always has been my favorite superhero, I was completely mortified when I saw Spiderman 3 and have been in a Spidey Daze ever since. I really hope that Raimi comes through with the 4th installment and it sounds like he shares my feelings on the subject. In an interview with cinematical.com, Raimi discusses Spiderman 4, failures, and lessons learned from them.
“I learn lessons on every single picture I make… I learned a lot on [Drag Me To Hell], about timing, and that you don’t have to give up any character at the expense of horror. It’s just an excuse that maybe I’ve used in the past. As far as Spider-Man, I’ve learned a lot of lessons about what people didn’t like and missteps that I’d made. But I learned those lessons on the previous two, I was just a little quieter about them. I made a lot of mistakes, and it’s part of the reason I so want to make this next story of Peter Parker.”
“I really think I know in my heart who the character is… I would like one more chance at it [that character]. [With] the Spider-Man films, I’ve made mistakes, but I really do look at them as things that I’ve learned, and hope that when I apply what I’ve learned to this next one, I really make a film that people enjoy and is really true to the character in a fresh, original way. That’s my goal.”
I officially can't wait for Spidey 4

Madea 911 Tape

Tyler Perry is not done milking everything he can out of Madea and I for one am happy about it. Madea is a once in a lifetime character who is always funny no matter the circumstance. The only problem I have with the Madea movies is that it seems like she is barely in them. "Madea Goes To Jail" was more about Rudy Huxtable than the title character. But you can always count on Madea to put butts in the seats for those movies and it seems like "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" is no exception check the teaser trailer below:

Funny People has a lot of...Funny People

Judd Apatow is officially the king of comedies. 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up were the types of movies that had storylines that were amazingly easy to relate to. Even though they were comedies there was a splash of realness that you don't really get to see in a most comedies that you can watch over and over again. It seems like Mr. Apatow is resorting to the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality with his new movie Funny People. The film has all the right people to fit the title...Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Leslie Mann, Aziz Ansari, and just for fun he threw in Eric Bana who I never thought of as a funny person but from the trailer seems to fit right in himself. Check out the trailer below.

Watch Miss March Now...

Miss March surpassed all of my expectations. Its no Harold and Kumar, Sex Drive, or Fanboys, but it delivers its own style and humor which isn't bad at all. It stars Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore (The Whitest Kids You Know). But its Craig Robinson who steals the show as Horsedick.MPEG I will say no more...you have to see for yourself.

HIMYM Season Finale: The Leap

Last night was the season finale of How I Met Your Mother. I thought the season finale was two weeks ago but that was a fake out with Stella. Even Yahoo.com's Primetime in No Time thought Stella would be the mom...I wasn't fooled. Anyway last night Ted finally told the story of the goat, Barney and Robin hooked up, and Ted took the job as a professor. It was a good episode and apparently the mom is in Ted's class, nice cliffhanger. Can't wait till next season. If you missed the episode check it out below.

Casey Wilson is Hilarious
People have been hating on some of the new cast members of SNL but I don't have a problem with any of them. It seems like Bobby Moynihan has his Pepper skits, Michaela Watkins has her Bitch Pleeze appearances on Weekend Update (which are hilarious by the way) It just seems like Casey Wilson is underused and falling into more of a miscellaneous category of cast member, that is until I found this gem of a video over at Funnyordie.com Enjoy.

Really? Well Ok...I Guess

It seems like most people are down with the president because everyone who isn't ends up on TV on the news or something. The latest hater is James Harrison, the Pittsburgh Steeler Linebacker who huffed and puffed his way to a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Super Bowl.
Harrison actually said this: "This is how I feel: If you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl," Harrison told Pittsburgh TV station WTAE. "As far as I'm concerned, he (Obama) would've invited Arizona if they had won."
He missed the whole point of the post championship White House visit...which is unbelievably simple: the team that wins the championship gets to visit the White House so yes James, the Cardinals indeed would be meeting Obama if they had in fact won.
Ahhh Athletes and their mental abilities.

Moms With Firearms

Just when you thought it was over...and we did...Madonna has enlisted the help of Captain Save A Song (AKA Lil Wayne). This song "Revolver" is a lot of noise and at first Madonna doesn't even sound like herself. Wayne is Wayne but I am not sure its enough to save this song. Check for yourself.

Drake from Degrassi
I have been hearing this song "Best I ever had" from Drake everywhere lately. Then I realize that this is the handicapped dude from Degrassi who blessed me with such memorable lines as..."Dude is that my Triple 5 Soul shirt, I know its not yours cause you can't afford it." Ahhhhh High School. Anyway I posted a video of him in Degrassi as well as his song.

Star Trek vs. Star Wars
So after I watched Star Trek I was thinking to myself- "Self, that movie was a lot like Star Wars." And I had good reason, director J.J. Abrams has always claimed to have grown up more of a Star Wars fan than a Trekkie. On my daily venture around the web, I was fortunate to stumble across a video from CollegeHumor.com that shares my thoughts on the subject. Enjoy:

We Want More Gambit!

Taylor Kitsch...the gentleman who portrayed Gambit when he was finally brought to silver screen...has commented on the possibility of returning as the Creole One in a Wolverine sequel.
“Man, good on Hugh for doing that to his body again,” he laughed as we told him about the film. “I hadn’t heard that was going to happen! You have my brain going now about what I’d love to do with Gambit!”
“I’m just excited to go deeper into Gambit. It’s a flattering thing when people say that the only shitty part about the character is we didn’t see enough of him. If that’s the case, bring it on. I want to go deep into Gambit.”
“He has so many more colours to explore. I want to go dark with that cat. There are so many things I want people to see of him and he really is his own deal. In Wolverine he was very much moving the story along. If I can have some moments where you go deeper into Gambit’s back-story and why he was the way he was at that poker table — that’s a fun thing to explore.”
“I have the tools now to do some larger fights and I’d be really excited to get a chance to do that, too. I have so many ideas in my mind right now!”
I love Gambit in the comics and on the old X-Men cartoon and can only hope and pray that they bring him back and give him more to do.

Fired Up

Having a girlfriend who was a cheerleader in high school has afforded me many opportunities to see ridiculous cheerleader movies and their unnecessary sequels (you know who you are). Fired Up was not one of those movies...in fact it was almost made more for me than it was for her.
After seeing this movie, I was looking forward to having it on DVD so I might see it again. Unfortunately, the DVD will not appear on store shelves until June 9th. But your friends at the Stupefied Ridiculous have found a link for you to enjoy and download this movie to your computers.

Dane Cook ISolated INcident

Dane Cook's Isolated Incident aired last night on Comedy Central. It was 54 minutes of uninterrupted stand up. Cook did a great job of re-establishing himself and debunking all of his "haters."
He talked about dirty sex, fan mail, and "twatswatters (the female version of a cockblocker...it'll probably catch on by the end of the week).
He needed this stand up to be good and it was. You can watch a clip here:

The Force Is Strong With This One...

So I watched the highly anticipated movie, Fanboys today. Set in 1998 it is the story of 4 friends who act on a longtime plan of breaking into Skywalker Ranch to steal and watch the working print of
Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. Along the way are encounters with trekkies, William Shatner, and of course the lovely Kristen Bell.
This movie has an awesome cast, and a nice amount of cameos (Seth Rogen as two characters!)
The DVD is in stores May 19th but if you can't wait just follow the link here: http://stagevu.com/video/jfksgpncqzyp
