So after I watched Star Trek I was thinking to myself- "Self, that movie was a lot like Star Wars." And I had good reason, director J.J. Abrams has always claimed to have grown up more of a Star Wars fan than a Trekkie. Ain't it funny that the only way Star Trek was able to be a good movie was to be Star Wars in a Trek Costume....i hope that the fans are aware of this
